Go Wireless in McConnell Library

If you have an IEEE 802.11b or IEEE 802.11gb compliant Ethernet adapter in your laptop, you can connect to the wireless LAN. Access to the WLAN is available on 5 levels.

When you open a web browser you will be automatically redirected to an authentication page on the Radford University portal. Simply log in with your username and password, and you can begin using the RU wireless network.

RU guests can register and login at the bottom of the authentication screen. Note: RU guests are limited to general web browsing and will not have full access to the RU network.

Connect Your Laptop to the Internet with a Network Card

McConnell Library offers 100 mbps network ports for laptop connections on the 4th level.

These are located in study carrels located near the center of the floor. To use these, your laptop must have either an internal Ethernet adapter, or a PCMCIA/PC Ethernet card.

IP addresses are automatically assigned using DHCP.
