Safari Tech Books Online
From ProQuest. The complete collection of over 5,350 e-books covering information technology is now available. This will replace Radford's previous subscription which covered just the current three years. Coverage begins with 1996 publications, and new e-books will be added as published.

Academic Search Complete
A comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 4,600 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,500 journals and a total of more than 10,000 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for nearly 1,000 journals.  

Associates Programs Source
Designed specifically for junior & community colleges with a primary focus on disciplines of study within associate degrees and certification programs. Areas explored include accounting, agricultural sciences, child care services, cosmetology, culinary arts, forestry, food service management, graphic arts, hair dressing, hospitality management, interior design, journalism, plumbing, heating & air conditioning, veterinary technology and welding to name a few. The database is updated weekly on EBSCOhost.  

Business Source Complete
A definitive scholarly business database, providing the leading collection of bibliographic and full text content. As part of the comprehensive coverage offered by this database, indexing and abstracts for the most important scholarly business journals back as far as 1886 are included. Searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,200 journals.   Also includes full-text market research reports, SWOT analyses, industry reports, and company profiles.

Computers & Applied Sciences Complete
Covers the research and development spectrum of the computing and applied sciences disciplines. CASC provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,720 academic journals, professional publications, and other reference sources from a diverse collection. Full text is also available for more than 670 periodicals.  

Consumer Health Complete
A comprehensive resource for consumer-oriented health content. It is designed to support patients' information needs and foster an overall understanding of health-related topics. CHC provides content covering all areas of health and wellness from mainstream medicine to the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated medicine. This full text database covers topics such as aging, cancer, diabetes, drugs & alcohol, fitness, nutrition & dietetics, children's health, men & women's health, etc.

Economía y Negocios
The result of a collaborative effort between EBSCO Publishing and ESAN (Escuela de Administración de Negocios para Graduados). More than 70,000 records, dating back to the early 1980s, provide coverage for over 300 Spanish and Portuguese-language periodicals published in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the United States and elsewhere.  

Environment Complete
Offers deep coverage in applicable areas of agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy, social impacts, urban planning, and more. Hospitality & Tourism Complete
A bibliographic database covering scholarly research and industry news relating to all areas of hospitality and tourism. This comprehensive database contains more than 721,000 records from more than 650 titles, with coverage dating as far back as 1965.  

Humanities International Complete
Provides full text of hundreds of journals, books and other published sources from around the world. Produced by Whitston Publishing (an imprint of EBSCO Publishing), this database includes all data from Humanities International Index (more than 2,000 journals and 2 million records) plus unique full text content, much of which is not found in other databases. The database includes full text for more than 730 journals.  

Legal Collection
This database contains full text for more than 250 of the world's most respected, scholarly law journals. The Legal Collection is an authoritative source for information on current issues, studies, thoughts and trends of the legal world.

MasterFILE Premier
This multidisciplinary database provides full text for more than 1,750 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also includes nearly 500 full text reference books, full text from 86,019 biographies, 105,787 full text primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 293,480 photos, maps and flags. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost.  

MedicLatina
A unique collection of medical research and investigatory journals from renowned Latin American and Spanish publishers. This Spanish language database contains full text for nearly 120 peer-reviewed medical journals in native Spanish.  

Military & Government Collection
Designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government, this database offers a thorough collection of periodicals, academic journals, and other content pertinent to the increasing needs of those sites. The Military & Government Collection provides cover-to-cover full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals and indexing and abstracts for nearly 400 titles.

Newspaper Source Plus
Provides cover-to-cover full text for 131 national & international newspapers and selective full text for more than 335 U.S newspapers. The database also contains full-text television & radio news transcripts.  

Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection
This database provides nearly 575 full text publications, including nearly 550 peer-reviewed titles. Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection covers topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods. Nearly every full text title included in this database is indexed in PsycINFO. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost.

American Film Scripts Online
From Alexander Street Press. Currently provides 823 full-text film scripts. When completed, the collection will include over 1,000 scripts and over 100,000 scenes. Many of the scripts have never been published. The database is full-text searchable and includes detailed indexing on scenes, characters, and people. Supplemental information includes short biographies on the writers and awards given to individual films have been noted.

African American Song  (Streaming audio)
From Alexander Street Press. African American Song is the first online resource to document the history of African American music in an online music listening service. The collection contains a diverse range of genres such as jazz, blues, gospel, ragtime, folk songs, and narratives, among others. Includes a few spoken word recordings.

American Song  (Streaming audio)
From Alexander Street Press. American Song is an historical database that allows people to listen to music from America's past. COMPUSTAT North America is a database of U.S. and Canadian fundamental and market information on more than 24,000 active and inactive publicly held companies. It provides more than 300 annual and 100 quarterly Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, and supplemental data items. COMPUSTAT Global provides data covering publicly traded companies in more than 80 countries, representing over 90% of the world's market capitalization, including coverage of over 96% of European market capitalization and 88% of Asian market capitalization. eHRAF Archaeology
From Human Relations Area Files, Yale University. A cross-cultural database containing information on the world's prehistory designed to facilitate comparative archaeological studies. This annually-growing eHRAF database is organized by archaeological traditions. The full-text sources are subject-indexed at the paragraph level. Two thesauri, Outline of the world cultures (OWC), and: Outline of cultural materials (OCM), organize the collections and are included as searchable files.

GreenFILE  
From EBSCOhost. GreenFILE offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. The database provides indexing and abstracts for over 600 scholarly and general interest journals.

ICPSR (Inter-University Consortium For Political And Social Research) (Data sets)
ICPSR provides data files in a wide range of social science areas such as population, economics, education, health, social and political behavior, social and political attitudes, history, crime, aging, and substance abuse. The data may be used with statistical software, such as SAS, SPSS, and Stata.

JSTOR Arts & Sciences V Collection  (Online journals)
This new JSTOR collection provide more archives of back issues of important scholarly journals in the humanities, arts, and sciences. When complete, it will have at least 120 journals. Depending on the publisher, back issues may be as current as 5 years back up to a year back, with coverage from the first issue. These journals may be found in our online journal list and in the online catalog, and will be linked from citations in many of our databases.

Waterloo Directory Of English Newspapers And Periodicals, 1800-1900
From North Waterloo Academic Press. The directory intends to include every periodical and newspaper published on a regular basis, from daily to annually, in nineteenth century England, at the height of the British Empire. It covers 50,000 publications and 756 subjects, allowing the researcher to identify primary sources and library collections for historical research. The online directory provides searching and browsing through six indexes.

These two new JSTOR collections provide more archives of back issues of important scholarly journals. Depending on the publisher, back issues may be as current as 5 years back up to a year back, with coverage from the first issue. Biological Sciences adds over 65 additional journal backfiles covering biodiversity, conservation, paleontology, plant science, cell biology, and zoology. Business II adds 25 journals covering international business and journals that explore the intersections between economics and law, policy, and psychology. PILOTS Database
From Proquest. PILOTS (Published International Literature On Traumatic Stress) is produced by the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Its goal is to include citations to all literature on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental-health sequelae of traumatic events, without disciplinary, linguistic, or geographical limitations, and to offer both current and retrospective coverage.

Times Digital Archive
From Gale. Provides digitized images of the Times of London from 1785-1985, with a powerful search interface.

Wellesley Index to Victorian Periodicals, 1824-1900
From Chadwyck-Healey/ProQuest. The vast majority of articles written for Victorian periodicals were published anonymously, or under pseudonyms. The Wellesley Index is an index to the authorship of articles, and a bibliography of articles written by each contributor, and using each pseudonym. Citations of evidence are provided to support attributions of authorship, along with brief biographical and vocational details. Forty-five important monthly and quarterly titles are indexed, covering the period from the beginning of the Westminster Review in 1824 to the end of the century. The exception to this is the Edinburgh Review, which is indexed from first issue, in 1802. Also included in C19, the Nineteenth Century Index.

You may link to articles in journals available to Radford.

Homeland Security Digital Library
A collection of homeland security policy and strategy related documents. The HSDL collection provides quick access to important U.S. policy documents, presidential directives, and national strategy documents as well as specialized resources such as theses and reports from various universities, organizations, and local and state agencies. Resources are reviewed and selected by a team of homeland security researchers and organized in a unique homeland security taxonomy. The HSDL is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office of Grants & Training and the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense & Security.

From Thomson RIA. Provides web access to accounting pronouncements and standards from the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, and the American Institute of Certified Professional Accountants. Additionally, the journal Cost Management and the Personal Financial Planning Handbook are available in RIA Checkpoint.

Blackwell Synergy (Blackwell Publishing journals)
Over 700 new electronic journals are now available from Blackwell Publishing, a leading publisher of scholarly journals in partnership with over 600 academic and professional societies. Subject coverage includes the social sciences, arts, humanities, sciences, computing, and technology. For most titles, access is provided back to the 1990s or before.

JSTOR Arts & Sciences IV and JSTOR Arts & Sciences Complement (Journal archives)
These two new JSTOR collections provide archives of important scholarly journals from the first issue to three or five years back. Arts & Sciences IV includes over 100 journals in business, education, law, psychology, and public policy and administration. Arts & Sciences Complement includes about 50 journals now, and will grow to 150 by the end of 2008. The journals cover a range of subjects in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. These new journals may be found in our online journal list and in the online catalog, and will be linked from citations in many of our databases.
