Preservation of Documents

  1. Rationale for preservation—
    1. Acidic paper and other corrosive materials were used in the composition of any of the records created in the administration and operation of Radford University and its predecessor administrative entities. These items are highly prone to disintegration.

    2. In order to preserve the historical record contained in those archival materials that are highly prone to disintegration the Radford University Archives will implement a vigorous program of electronic digitization and installation onto an Archives web site.

     B. Memoranda, letters, photographs, and other materials significant to the history of Radford University will be digitized and installed on the Radford University Archives web site.

     C. Items that document the creation and development of administrative units, academic units, student programs and activities will be digitized and installed on the Radford University Archives web site.
